Wonderful concert to say the least. She shows no signs of her age (81). She started with a Vilambit composition in Shyam Kalyan and a Tarana followed. Thought she will move into the lighter section considering the concert timings (8:15 to 10pm). But next came Chandrakauns, A vilambit and a tarana, both beautifully done. Next a dadra in some mishra raga. The full house didnt show signs of moving out. Next came Raga Madhurkauns which she claims as her own find. It is Malkauns with two Gandhars. Nicely done as well with a Tarana again. The swaraprasthara was amazing here. She wrapped up with a Sindhu Bhairavi. Took a snap as well with her, kind lady with a great smile.

I remember meeting her for the first time in the early fifties when she was a sAthi for her guru Hirabai Badodekar. Even then she sang so well with her guru.
