Having completed 2 decadeds of successful career as one of the top carnatic vocalists, Priya Sisters definitely know how to hold the attention of the audience for 3hrs at a stretch..
Right from the beginning till the mangalam, the tempo of the concert was maintained.. They began with the popular , intricate Viriboni in Bhairavi, setting the right atmosphere for a grand concert.
Kari Kalabha being a composition of Dikshitir, brought out the beauty of Saaveri. Haripriya's anandabhairavi was enjoyable, followed by a nice composition of Saint Tyagaraja.Guruvina Gulaama of Purandaradasa was a welcome move.. They rendered the swaras in Panthuvarali at a [super-sonic] speed which was stunning..

Shanmukhapriya's elaboration of the rare Naarayani was neat, followed by soulful rendition of Tyagaraja's composition. Nilaambari was enjoyable.
Kalyani was the highlight of the concert. Haripriya brought out the entire essence of the raaga beautifully. Etavunara was sung with aplomb with detailed nerval and energetic swaras.
TAni by Skanda and Purushottam drew thundrous applause from the audience.
Akati Velala was mesmerizing.. Dayamaado , and Narayana Stotra was sung with utmost devotion..
