Sangeethakala Acharya Seetha Rajan Concert at SRLKM 10Nov12

Packed audience at the Sri Rama Lalithakala Mandira (SRLKM) were enthralled by one of the best concert in recent times by Sangeethakala Acharya Vid. Seetha Rajan. Vid. Charulatha Ramanujam, Vidwan Patri Satish Kumar and Vidwan Purushotham provided excellent accompaniment. Mamis's disciples Kum. Arati and Kum. Gayatri provided vocal support.

The concert was dedicated to Muthuswamy Dikshitar whose aradana day is fast approaching.

The classism was evident in every aspects and the music was at its sublime best and full of sowkyam which is a rarity in present day music. Personally I was very pleased with the first of the endowment concert I have commemorated in the name of my father Shri. SS Murthy.

Gattiganu was a welcome change in Tisra Nadai Adi talam. Charulatha on violin was outstanding and followed Seetha Rajan mami like a shadow beautifully. Patri as always along with Purushotham enriched the music multi folds.

Sound arrangements were very nice with the decibel level most optimum for melody music. Kudos to Shri. GV Krishna Prasad who runs SRLKM for arranging this excellent concert. All in all, great concert and will remain in my memory for a long time.
