Not sure about the existence of a thread for this fabulous nAdaswara vidwAn.
I first heard him 8 years ago @ Chennai and ever since was waiting for an opportunity to listen to him and finally got to listen to him @ my cousin's wedding yesterday at Madurai. Just magnificently pristine music. Sat down losing myself in the dEvagAndhAri, khamAs and the kAmbhOdi that he played. Finally got to talk to him after the wedding and got the following info from him.
" Vaduvur S N R Krishnamoorthy born in 1952 in Vaduvur @ Tiruvarur district, Krishnamoorthy belonged to a great tradition of famous nadaswara vidwans. He underwent rigorous training in nadaswaram from his father Vaduvur Ramayapillai. He later underwent training under Kottur K S Sowminathan Pillai, Kottur N Rajarathinam pillai, Tiruvangadu R Jayaraman and Aovur T Ramanungam pillai. His was also associated with the great percussionist Kottur N Rajarathinam pillai, which helped to improve his stature as a musician."

I dont know if he is performing anywhere in Chennai in this season. A must listen for all nAdaswaram lovers.
