the header "General Discussions at 03.00 AM and confirmed that it was posted in the “General Discussions" header.

I am surprised that the above topic vanished by 12.05 pm today [05.12.2012].

Anyhow, I am reposting my letter now.

ARCHIVING OF THE CONCERTS ARRANGED BY THE RASIKAS.ORG FORUM MEMBERS – REG

During the year 2007 and 2008, Mostly a concert per month was arranged and the Audio and video recordings were shared with the Rasikas of our website.
After one year, the scheduling of monthly concerts was stopped because of the poor attendance from the local Chennai Rasikas.
However, in 2009, there was meeting of Rasikas when Sri V.K.Viswanathan, Sri M.K. Ramasubramaniam, his wife, and Cleveland Sundaram all of them wanted to share their nostalgic moments they have spent with Smt.M.S.Subbalakshmi and her husband Sri Sadhasivam over the long years.
The meeting was held at my home. No Audio and Video recordings were done for sharing with the Global Rasikas.
IN 2010, a mega Global Rasikas meet was arranged during the December music season at Chennai.
Many Global and Chennai Rasikas of our website met and every Rasika who attended the meet were very happy to meet the other members who attended the meet.
This event was a unique one in that many Rasikas were able to connect the persons of our website with the names they were familiar to them
[By reading their impressions about many topics discussed in various threads] and not seen them in person.
Many musicians also participated in our meet and there was a short duration vocal concert.
Audio and Video recordings were uploaded in our website.
With the enthusiastic member Sri V.K.Viswanathan, we were able to arrange a lecture demonstration by Sri Trichy Sankaran, where in again many musicians attended
the function.
The Global Rasikas meet in 2011 was confined only to the Rasikas of our website. However, Sri MKR gave an entertaining mimicry of our past legendary musicians.

Many of the uploads of these functions remain in our website only for a short duration.

In my opinion, these important uploads should be achieved permanently.

Access to these uploads should be restricted the registered members of our website.

By permanently achieving these programmes, many of our members who would have
missed in downloading the programme, and to the newly joined members of our website
will be able to download the programmes and enjoy the music and the new members may be able to connect the names
they have been reading in various topics and connect with the faces.

All Rasikas may give their opinions about the proposal and our Admin and moderators
can decide about the implementation of permanently archiving important meeting recordings.
