TK Rangachari Centenary Celebrations

Post by Gamakam »

I was surprised that such a grand even was not publicised in this forum.

Arunn (my friend) and I wrote our thoughts on the function: http://carnaticmusicreview.wordpress.co ... 04/100-th/

That's a hilarious report, Gamakam :)
Harimau-esque, almost.

 I hope the artists and committees do justice atleast hereafterwards, when they perform/conduct such functions.

Hidden in the beautifully written article on the centenary celebrations are explosive review comments on a "star". (Sruti goof up, 'bale' for a poor timing by the violin, and random kalapramanam) The views and the lovely tamizh prose used to epress that are both superlative. Thanks Gamakam & Arun N

Why is this gem of a review embedded secretly inside a wider article? Why is there a hesitation to name the name?
Hope you don't have any long term deals with THE HINDU that might get jeopardized:)

Do I also see a dig on our famour Rasikas I'll not name the names!

dhanurasi: I do not ahve any deal with The Hindu. However, Arunn (the other author) was asked to write in The Hindu and his first article for the season is here: http://www.thehindu.com/news/cities/che ... epage=true . I'm not sure if the invitation was based on this report that we put up :P
