Prasanna seems to start in a bit tentative geeky way but half way thru the concert transforms into this graceful assertive super sure footed performer. Today the minstrel cassanova made his appearance even earlier than usual.

Meru samana included a neraval at galamuna sobillu in 2 speeds & swaras.

A nice detailed khamas alapana followed by seethapathe. This featured neraval & swaras at prema joochi.

At this point, the formula stricken would expect a "fast number" or even rama-forbid a vivadi "filler".

Much to my pleasure & amusement, Prasanna turned the table on them by starting with a steady danyasi.

Paradevata was the rare dikshitar kriti chosen & sure enough it included a naraval at katyayani.

Accompaniment of balaji was supportive without being intrusive definitely raising the concert standard.

Danyasi led way to the sweetest kharahapriya & you couldn't help being drawn into the concert abandoning the stylus temporarily.

Janaki pathe was the kriti as promised in the alapana.

After the thani, it is haridasu veddale in yamunakalyani.

Excellent concert. Prasanna creating a style of his own without attempting to tag along with any bandwagon. Am hearing him after a while and find him closer to the his potential artistry especially with respect to sensitivity. The audio settings were perfect all around and hope to hear more such concerts from him this season.
