Again duration was little less than 2.30 hours. Concert’s highlight was beautiful rendition of Bilahari and the RTP of Brindavana Saranga (with the ragas of Hamsanandhi, Nalinkakanthi and Valachi in thanam and swaras). Accompaniments were very good – Embar Kannan, VVR murthy and of course Anirudh on Kanjira. Again couple of remarks: there were communication gaps here too about commencement of Thani – I think there should me more explicit communications when to start Thani rather than the enabling beats by the artist. Just because of Sabha is named after Thyagaraja, the artist need not have restricted to only Thyagaraja Krithis. Here again was longing for a Dikshitar krithi – but again drew a blank
