Interesting series of not just brothers or sisters playing together.
Who's M. Vijay? Haven't heard (of) him...

Thanks Ramesh.
With his background, 'sounds' like a promising violinist.

But Nick, vocalists and flautists, and also some vainikas, have violin accompaniment, and nadaswarams perform as a duo too.

So violin should have violin ...accompaniment!
Actually, I prefer all my "main artists" to be single solo, and I do think that the point of a violin festival should be to give the violinists a chance to have a whole concert just to themselves.
But then, if the organisers were here, they might reply, "Well, it's not your violin festival, it's ours. So there!" ]
Fair enough
. And I'm glad that they are giving violinists a chance to be centre-stage. There should be more such chances.
And, as I said, I'm not available for concert going on any of those dates, so it is all sour grapes on my part anyway :$
