Sri.TNS Krishna is the son and disciple of the maestro Vidwan TN Seshagopalan. Sri.Krishna, in his concerts, combines the knowledge he has aquired from his father and his own abundant creativity.For the past several
years, Sri.Krishna has been giving concerts in all the prestigious platforms both in India and abroad. Music Academy has awarded the " Best Concert" and "Outstanding Vocalist" awards during their December season. Also he holds the title of Yuva Kala Bharati , Best Vocalist award from Krishna Gana sabha, to mention a few. He is an A Grade artist of AIR. He is an Electronics engineer with an MBA from IIM, Lucknow.
In February, Nadasurabhi will be holding a three day Youth Festival on 15th, 16th and 17th. The festival will feature two full concerts by talented young artists, a bharatanatyam performance, children's performances and will conclude with Thyagaraja and Purandaradasa aradhana. Details will be announced soon.

TNS Krishna started his concert with the popular Daru Varna of Muthiah Bagavatar ‘Maathe Malayadwaja’ in ‘Kamas’ which gave him the firm footing to proceed further to more challenging pieces. The ‘hamsadhwani’ song ‘Vinayaka ninnunvina’ with neraval at ‘parama krupa sagara’ followed by a brisk swara prastharm was followed by detailed presentation of raga ‘pantuvarali’ for Kanakadasa’s ‘Ramanujare namo namo’ enhanced with brilliant swaras. Before he took up ‘saveri’ for detailed delineation as the major piece of the day, other numbers of interest were ‘Marivere gathi’ one of Shamasastri’s masterpiece kritis in ‘ananda bhairavi’,Thyagaraja’s ‘Sreekantha neeyeda’ in ‘Bhavapriya, and a “Kamba Ramayanam’ piece in ‘Nattaikurinji’ touchingly narrating how the Vaanara king, Vaali gets enlightenment after being hit by Rama’s arrow..
Muthuswamy Dikshitar’s ‘Sree Rajagopala’ was presented with all grandeur in ‘Saveri’, with a technically sound and aesthetically perfect neraval at pallavi, followed by a lilting swara prasthara. The ragamalika swaram that came along was in 20 different ragas, and he moved from one raga to another with such ease and swiftness that it really speaks of his mastery and control over the ragas and laya.
After a brilliant ‘tani avartanam’ by the percussionists, a bhajan in ‘Yaman kalyani’, ‘Baliya manege …’ Ugabhoga before ‘Bega baro bega baro’ of Vadiraja, a ‘Tiruppavai’ piece – ‘Vangakkadal..’ in ‘Surutti’ an ‘Azhwar Pasuram’ and a thillana, a composition of his father Vidwan T.N. Seshagopalan were sung before the Mangalam.
On occasions his voice showed some strain, presumably the culprit is the Bangalore weather which is definitely much colder than Chennai during this time of the year. The accompanying artists, C.N. Chandrasekar on violin, B.C. Manjunath on mridangam and M.Gururaj on morsing provided excellent support with lot of understanding and perfect following to add colours to the concert.
There was an overwhelming response to the concert. The hall was overflowing and remained so till the end.
