Thanks Smt Latha. I'm sure there are many out there who would like to share their experiences, discussions, and the sheer joy of being in Sri MSG's company, if only briefly. A person of his calibre and stature is born only once in a "yuga" and we are fortunate to have him in our "yuga".

Is there any chance that "Sruti" magazine will bring out an issue in his memory? I understand that they have, in the past, dedicated issues to honour vidwans. In a couple of cases, a series of issues were dedicated to the same vidwan, so it is not too much to ask re. our beloved MSG. I believe "Samudhri" magazine had a cover story on him a couple of years ago, with rare photographs and a brief interview.

Dear Smt Srutishree, I really appreciate your thoughts about appa. And yes, I remember Samudhri's feature on appa. The main reason I started the initiative on facebook is for the rasikas themselves, like you, who have so much to say about my father.

In fact, there have some details that even I, as a daughter, do not know about appa. And have known through rasikas who have treated him like God and worshipped him. And I am very keen on getting these feelings out there for all to see.

This is a very sad time for all of us and I want to facilitate an honest, sincere tribute to him.

Any sentence, any tidbit about him must be heard/shared - NO Matter who the person is.

Thank you very much for informing me about Sruti. I have not checked it yet.. will do it soon.

Latha,
Good to have you here among us rasikAs.
Your father's music is precious and it will be nice to hear from those who knew him personally.

Are you in any of the pictures at the event in Ragasudha Hall?

Dear Arasi, thank you. And I was there at Ragasudha hall beside my mother. I am not sure about the pictures. And as for facebook, there have been so many people posting their tributes there. It is heart-warming to read these genuine, affectionate posts. That is why the initiative is called - The Rasika Recollection.

The MSG meet thread has some pictures. In the front row, I see a young woman in white--wondered if that's you.
