Fabulous concert with a brilliant pallavi !
Up till half of Madhura madhura, the voices of Ganesh and Shashikiran were barely heard...post that, on repeatedly asking the audio person to increase the voice levels, it started sounding good ! Shashikiran sang a lovely poorvi kalyani ragam. Nagano Muralidharan's essay of the ragam was crisp and effective... The song composed by Ravikiran was set in misra chapu talam... I really liked the gait of the song ! Trichur Narendran and Vaikkom Gopalakrishnan's accompaniment was a treat to listen to ! After Etiyochanalu, came up a superb chala nata raga alapana... The Tanam shared by the brothers were in ragamalika...Had 4 ragams.. i can remember two of them... Varali and kedaragaula...they sang these ragams based on audience's choice.
The pallavi was composed based on a very unique idea by Shashikiran...
It was based on the date... 01/02/2013
1 + 2 + 20 + 13 = 36
So Khanda Jathi Tripura talam(36 aksharas) had been chosen, and eduppu was after 3 aksharams
36th melakarta Chala nata was chosen, which is the 6th ragam in the 6th chakra.
So the chakravyuha concept had ragams Kanakangi(1St ragam from the 1st chakram), thodi(2nd ragam from 2nd chakram), Mayamalavagaula(3rd ragam from 3rd chakra), kharaharapriya(4th ragam from 4th chakra), shankarabharanam(5th ragam from 5th chakra) and Chalanata ! The brothers sang ragamalika swarms in each of these ragams !
Shashikiran explained this and said that based on this concept, infinite number of talas and combinations could be coined based on dates. It was received very well by the audience and got them a huge round of applause !
The concert concluded with two very melodious compositions...Kudos to the brothers for the unique ideas and the commitment in executing them ! Wonderful evening indeed !

Asusual it was a awesome concert like said by the above peoples
but they forgot to mention some important highlights of the concert
LIKE
TANAM was done by ganesh and kapi and kedaragowla was his own choices as people didnt give up ragas when he was asking so he choose his own
and the main thing was he also sang the whole tanam in reverse order too
i have seen him singing in lot of concerts which requires very hard efforts
that was really great
and in RAGAMALIKA also the first sang in the ascending order and atlas they sang in the reverse tooo this was the thing which audience was surprised a lot
as usual they gave a huge package to the audience
