VEENA RECITAL OF EMANI KALYANI (D/O EMANI SANKARA SASTRY)

The AIR National Programme on 10 Feb featured the excellent Veena concert of the above vidushi whom I have heard playing along with her illustrious father a couple of decades ago. This Sunday concert was of very high standard with Sree Kanthimathim as the main song preceded by a very elaborate alapana and the customary thanam. Unfortunately I could not record the concert because I went out for the concert of Gayathri Gireesh. I even heard only the second half of the concert. If any of our esteemed members have recorded the same concert, I will be much grateful if they can share the concert with me through mediafire or sangeethapriya. Kindly help.

Varsha....thank you so much for uploading the concert. Brought back nostalagic memories of the great Emani Sir playing. Excellent playing.Not only that, the typical radio reception of fading in and out, the hissing sound ( atleast not as bad as used to be like in my younger days) brought other memories of the glorious AIR days....Many thanks
