Bharath,
Is there another krithi of manam irangAdha in kiravani. I only know of swarna venkatesha dikshitAr krithi manam irangAdhA in mAyamAlavagowlai . Did you mistake the kiravani krithi(may be it was innamum sandEga padalAmA in kiravani)?

rajesh, it was defly a keeravani kriti. I could not identify the kriti. somebody near me, whom i believed, told me about the lyrics and said it is a Papanasam Sivan kriti. Could be wrong!

i know 'innamum sandEga padalAmO' and have heard it many times...

* Probably worth mentioning that J B S S is a flautist, in the heading?
* Did he really play RNS in Chede buddhi manura? Or the sankarabharanam song before that?

Wow! The snob in me is well and truly impressed. Not heard a lot of this song (can recall Aruna Sairam singing it in the good ol' days), and I did not know of any neraval possibilities in what seems like a small javali-like song.

Did he have "vocal support" from his sister? An unusual combination which seems, to me, to work really well

Not on this particular day. J.B.Keerthana was on stage but without the benefit of a microphone could not lend much support.

well, aTANA was the main.
neraval was taken up in the first line of the anupallavi

just after cEta srI balakrishnam, there was a long dialogue on stage, before he chose to play vara leela gana lola with a big smile. Then came aTANA.
I was not sure if this was how the concert was intended or was it a ad-hoc main that he cooked up coz he wouldnt have much time for a subsequent main. I have known many a concert of Sruthisagar were he had overshot time by leaps and bounds.

JB Keertana was singing behind her brother all the way, just that there was no microphone for her.
