* SKA S.Rajam used to say in one of Lec-dems" Badari vana moola" one should listen to Veena Dhanammmal singing with tears in her eyes"Ava padinathe nan kadile vangindu appidiye ivallu(disciple) sollivaichurukken -appidiye paduva".Inthapattile Sankarabharanam appideye puzhinchirukku"-(I have taught them the same way I had listened &absorbed -They will reproduce in the same tenor.This kriti has all the essence of the Raga).
Dr.Vijayalakshmy S had taken Sankarabharanam elaborately & "Akshyalinga vibho"as main during sivarathri celebration - she has proven this statement.
* To me Rathnagirishwarar temple in Besant Nager has the best of acoustics .(This is the first occasion I sat to attend to a concert there! I was lucky to have a chair vacant.Else,one has to squat)The clarity of sound is uniform throughout the temple.Sankarabharanam being weighty raga having been dealt in length , the artist was emphasizing on sahithya with perfect diction.

*"Abayakarathai parthapothu acham ozzindadu"-Behag- Suddhananda Bharathi.(Why We don't get to listen to his compositions quite often? In another thread I have requested for the list of his compositions).

* I liked the emotive rendering of words "Chathru Bhuddhi vinasaya" I infer the gospel being " one's mind could be one's chathru"
