MSG Tribute at Swaralaya,Palghat & Concert by Dr.M Narmadha

Dear Rasikas,

Palghat, the musical town of the famed musicians, will be hosting a MSG tribute concert on the 7 th April ,at 06:30 PM ,at the Swaralaya hall in Palghat with a violin solo concert by me.

The chief guest will be the Honourable MP Shri MA Baby.

The speakers would be Honourable MP Shri. MA Baby and Senior journalist, Prof. GS Paul.

Shri Baby ji is very well known for his wonderful support to Karnatak classical music. Swaralaya , the brain child of Baby ji , has been organizing wonderful classical Karnatak music concerts all over India.In fact. Shri MA Baby's wonderfully worded Malayalam article on MSG in Desabhimani touched the hearts of million music fans.

For me this is a very special musical moment ,as I will dedicate it to MSG, my beloved father, pathfinder and a musical genius. Every aspect of my Palghat concert is going to be a performance of MSG 's favorites and his stamp compositions.

Please find some moments from the MSG Tribute function, and the concert by Dr. M Narmadha at Palakkad, organized by the Palakkad Fine Arts Society and Swaralaya.




Prof GS Paul described Shri MSG as a global artist. Shri Subbaraman, secretary of Palakkad Fine Arts Society, said MSG was a musical phenomenon. Shri Ramesh pointed out the extra ordinary spontaneity of MSG while accompanying in concerts. Shri. MA Baby, MP, mentioned that Shri MSG has bequeathed the Parur Legacy to his daughter, Narmadha and that MSG lives through the sound of Narmadha’s violin.

Dr. Narmadha, said MSG was the very form of violin and he accomplished an amazing standard of violin playing ,which takes years of hard practice to even getting to understand his dazzling vidwat. She mentioned that MSG revolutionized the style of violin playing and Shri Parur Sundaram Iyer, out of his sheer love and admiration for his home town Kerala, had named his style as the Parur Tradition… The roots are very strong.. she said.
