It was 2 hours of pure bliss, in a small AC hall with very good acoustics. More like a chamber concert. Could not have asked for anything more.
The entire concert was a treat to listen to.
Dr Jayanthi was ably supported on the percussion by the duo of Sudheendra and Giridhar Udupa, they were enjoying the concert as much as we were!
Looking forward to hearing more of Dr Jayanthi live.

Dr.Jayanthi is one of the foremost veena exponents today. A Varamu RTP --- mmm --- I would love it. But thinking of driving to Brigade Gardenia (I think it is somewhere at the end of JP Nagar), I prefer to go for a long walk instead! The programme also was not advertised anywhere. If you (vanamali) get to know of any concert of any good artist, you can post it in a separate thread here. It will help other rasikas. Also, braindrain will pick it up and post in his blog. Thanks.

Yes, this was not advertised anywhere, i happened to see it on Dr Jayanthi's website, and then immediately posted it on braindrain's blog. I think the organizers did not advertise it on purpose, since the hall was quite small and could not accommodate a large number of people from the public. It seemed that most people there were either residents of Brigade Gardenia/Millennium or members of Vishesha.
A number of musicians were also present among the audience, notable were Mysore Nagaraj, Ranganath Chakravarthi, Shashidhar (flute)...
