Deepavali is a rare raga which is a mixture of Yaman and Lalit ragas of Hindustani. This raga was invented by the flute legend of India Pt. Pannalal gGhosh. It is predominantly an evening raga. Later it was adapted into Karnatic music (and named Deepali) by Tanjavur S Kalyanaraman who has rendered a Mira bhajan harigun gAvat in this raga.
