You are downloading the bits that constitute the music to your PC which in turns sends it to some digital-to-analog converter (software or hardware) and the resulting analog signal is sent to the speakers to produce the music.

Your question is if the bits can be saved on your PC.

Yes, they can. Quite easily. Using software that is free on the internet.

In fact you can Google for that and you will find tons of information on how to save the music or video or whatever you are downloading.

If I tell you exactly how it can/should be done, some idiot will file a lawsuit claiming that I am teaching people to commit illegal acts and the police will come looking for me.

Or someone else will claim that I hurt his feelings. That in India is grounds for arrest.

That plus an incompetent police force is sufficient to stifle free speech or exchange of information.

What Harimau says is true: to "record," or otherwise save, anything that your PC is playing, or can access, from the net is trivial. However, "trivial" is still far too complicated for many, so an internet source that is, at least currently, proof against any of the one-click download methods will actually deter them.

It is hardly the most secure way for Rsachi to protect his rights in the music, but, like the padlocks that secure so many doors, it is proof against those without a hammer in their pockets and the knowledge to use it. I think Rsachi is a techie person: I'm sure he is aware of the situation.

1. Don't know. Probably Abishek himself or his Guru. (if someone has his e-mail, can ask him.)

2. As far as I know, no. The Group known as Thiruppugazh AnbargaL, sings this in Kalyani , ( tuned by Guruji Raghavan who recently passed away.)
I remember TKS Kalaivanan giving a record where he has sung it in another raga.

Not sure who tuned it, but Abhishek has been singing this in Sindhu bhairavi for some time now.
