Dear Bangalore Rasikas,

I will be available in Bangalore for about 10 to 15 days from 29.06.2013.

I would like to meet all the Rasikas of Bangalore at a convenient date and place.

Bangalore Rasikas are requested to respond.

These meets organized for/by Sri Nageswaran are priceless - we were able to get a very new and unique padam for my daughter from one such meet, where Sri Nageswaran had persuaded Sri Madhava Rao to perform some absolutely rare and fascinating dAsa kRtis at Cienu's place. People who can, absolutely should attend!!

You are what they call a 'kalyANa manidar'. Celebrations go with you. Have a good time. Hope GBL will be there (not in Singapore or elsewhere at that time).

Cienu,
As always, you are a gracious host. Geetha doesn't have to go to the trouble of providing the tiffin all on her own for rasikAs. I'm sure they will be as keen on providing the victuals for the event. I suppose they will consult you ahead of time, so that things can be coordinated, and no effort is wasted.

We look forward to pictures and clips. Hope there aren't going to be any formal speeches but a generous exchange of thoughts and ideas about music and a lot of singing and instrumental music.

Coming to think of it, if most Bengaluru rasikAs turn up, it will be quite a gathering. I hope Keerthi can make it and can speak about one of the many topics which fascinate him. He truly is a scholar, for such a young person.

There are some Chennai rasikAs who do visit Bengaluru every now and then. Hope they can join you too, if they happen to be around.

I am really happy note about the very good response from all the BG Rasikas.

I request Cienu to provide the full address of his home and any landmarks to reach your home.

We had a wonderful meeting last time.

I hope rain will not dampen our spirit for attending the meet.

We were provided with hot samosas and other Tiffin’s during the meet last time.

Many advance thanks to Cienu's wife and the entire family for providing a wonderful atmosphere.

Wishing the Meet a Great Success and also wishing a firm action plan is worked out to support Indian Classical Music and CM, in particular. Also for bringing in more young Rasikas in to ICM/CM appreciation.

Braindrain,I am also having transport problem ,we are in 305 KEERTI MANOR BLOCK 2 , GM PALAYA MAIN ROAD (BEHIND BEML gate). i cannot come by bus, nor can I GET AN AUTO FOR SUCH A LONG DISTANCE.is it on your way from your residence? or Can i wait at a common place(walking stick is the adayalam) (gobilalitha0

Thanks to Cienu and family, and Nageswaran's initiative, a great session today. In the presence of many rasikas, some very good singing by many, including Vid. Neela Ramagopal, Vid. Sumitra Nitin, Aishwarya, her kid sister and even her famous paati. More details will follow from Cienu and Nageswaran I expect.

A detailed report with snaps by Shrinivasan(Cienu) will follow. It was a very enjoyable get together. we are grateful to Sri Jayan( Braindrain) for taking us to Cienu's house where the event took place . it was music of a high standard by AISHWARYA, ,Sumitra Nitin SmT Neela RamGopal,and Madam RADHA VISWANATHAN along with her granddaughter Aishwarya, a budding star mesmerised with unforgettable melodies . I should not forget to mention that Aishwarya's kid sister Soundarya also sang very nicely along with her sister,

Sri Nageswaran welcomed all the Rasikas of Bangalore at the outset.
Aishwarya & Saundarya started the informal get together with "Sriman Narayana"
After which there was a lot of wonderful music from Neela Mami, Sumitra Nitin (who delighted us with 2 songs of Arasi ), Keerthi, Amma & Aishwarya, Mounika, Smt Lalita Balasubramaniam and Aishwarya on the veena
Sri VS_Manjunath surprised us with a beautiful Kalyani and Siva Kameswari !

Raghav provided superb Mridangam support for a few songs !

After which we had all had tiffin (Upma and Kesari) and coffee/tea

This afternoon’s Rasikas meet at Cienu’s residence was suffused with music and thoughts about music. It was a highly rewarding and enriching experience for me and my wife to be participating in a meet that was attended by many knowledgeable and talented Rasikas.

Cienu’s mother graced the occasion with her presence.

Our heartfelt thanks are due to Sri and Smt Shrinivasan for opening their house for us and for being such wonderful and gracious hosts. The photographs and memorabilia connected with the venerable MS kindled reverential thoughts.

This meet was the original idea of Sri Nageswaran and we are very grateful to him for that.
