The inaugural of Darbar Fine arts concert started exactly at 16 40 hrs after a formal introduction of artistes . Following is the song list.

The performance was excellent with very good support by Ranjani and Sriram. As I entered by 16 05 hrs thinking that the timing is between 16 00 and 18 30 hrs, could enjoy the Jaya Jaya Janaki in Nattai only and that too abruptly ended after this song and the artistes left leaving Tambura, violin and mrudhangam. Later came to know that this is a rehearsal for proving the effectiveness of the sound system and the actual program starts by 16 30 hrs only. Vidwans entered at 16 40 hrs and performance commenced at 16 45 hrs

Ranjani gave an excellent support by replying suitably Dr V S's niraval and swaraprastharams. SriRam's thani was excellent. Nobody stirred out during thani . Totally Sriram's performance was good and I was totally impressed by his taste of enjoyment during delineation of ragas by Dr. VS and Ranjani. The hall was full through out the concert. Finally Jayashree Varadharjan who was invited as a special guest congratulated the organizers and the artistes. She mentioned that she could find and enjoy the Sukham, Sowkiyam and Santhosham the three important interlinked factors in this concert.
