Sappri,
That's going to be a treat, I'm sure.
Who is(are) going to accompany them?
Hope some rasikAs attend and review the concert. A clip from the concert will give us a chance to hear them as they display their yet another talent as instrumentalists. Hope the vidushis and organizers oblige

KVC,
Thank you for the review.
Are there any videos of their playing together on Youtube? They give violin concerts so rarely, and I haven't heard one in person.

Searched again, and found a clip from the rAgamAlika they played in December 2012! Ranjani's varALi and Gayatri's MAND--loved it, and all on stage seemed to have too!

Arasi, thanks for that pointer. Their violin technique is very clean, clear, and without excesses. I'm glad they continue to give violin concerts and are keeping up with practice!

I echo Bilahari's words. Nicely played.

Gayathri played a lovely Mand here too.
The ragamalika segment in the Charukeshi RTP (Sharavanabhava Guhane Shanmugane Dayaparane) had Kanada, Vasantha, Mand, Kapi and Jog.
After this came ST’s ‘Vishweshwara’ in Sindhubhairavi before LGJ’s thillana, which, Gayathri mentioned, was their tribute to the legend. Memories of the master had been brought earlier in the concert by the way they played the Arabhi song, Nadasudharasambilanu.
The excellent review of the concert by Madhavi Ramkumar in The Hindu highlights the virtuosity and the classicism displayed by the sisters. Krishnaprasad of SRLKM, in his remarks during thanksgiving, also mentioned about this. He said that it took almost two years and a lot of persuasion to get R&G agree to an exclusive violin concert; they were putting it off by saying they lacked regular practice and hence were reluctant to play. He wondered what the level of concert would be if they did practice well.
S. Prasanna.
