Dear Rasikas,

It was a long time desire of mine to keep my valuable collections of my Audio and Videos in some permanent archive site for all the music lovers to access and listen and see the Videos.

There were a lot of suggestions and ideas from our Rasika friends [In the lounge header of our website for nearly three months].

However, nothing tangible solution was found.

Being in Bangalore for relaxation, I visited the home of our Rasika Sri R Sachi yesterday with my wife on a courtesy call.

I have expressed my desire to archive my valuable collections for all the rasikas to listen to my collections.

Sri Sachi, an expert in computer technology, taught as to how my collections can be archived and created a web page for me in the website “Archives.org” and created a blog also in my name.

He had uploaded one song ‘ Govardhana gireesam in Hindolam played in the Veena by Sri R.Parthasarathy.

I will provide the download link shortly for all Rasikas access to this song in “Archive.org” website.

I will be able to upload my collections of music one by one in the Archives.com in the days to come.

My heartfelt thanks to our Rasika Sri R Sachi for his help.

I never thought to see Sri Nageswaran rubbing shoulders with The Grateful Dead

Actually, I should have: his musical horizons are far wider than mine, and his tastes and experience more varied. Also, apart from the huge library of Grateful Dead recordings, Archives.org has vast quantities of ...everything. Just recently, some browsing took me there to listen to a 1924 recording of Rhapsody in Blue played by George Gershwin, the composer, himself, and recorded acoustically, not electronically.

Nageswaran's Music Streams

Dear Rasikas,

With the help our Rasika Sri Sachi, an archive.org in my name was created and sample audio were uploaded earlier.

A series of monthly concerts were arranged under the Rasikas Forum in the year 2007.

The first concert was by Sri T.V.Ramprasad.

The second concert of Madurai Sri G.S.Mani was arranged at my home under the Rasikas Forum.

Again with the help of Sri Sachi, the complete video of the concert of Madurai Sri G.S.Mani have now been uploaded in the archive.org.

This exercise is being done for the old rasikas who may not have downloaded from our website earlier and for the benefit of the new members to view and enjoy.
