Your view on SK selection by MA - Please Vote - Poll

The SK selection for 2013 by MA is a done deed. Our congratulations to
Smt Sudha Raghunathan, a deserving candidate for the award.
However there is a hot debate at this Forum on the selection process among our membership.
SK is the highest award/recognition of excellence in CM.
Though the selection is done by an expert committee there is no popular input by Rasikas
in the selection process.
We at the Forum over 7000 strong of international mix have a stake in SK selection.
Hence this "straw" poll.
The poll will close on Sunday August 18th giving sufficient opportunity for all members to cast their vote .
I will announce the results and discussions can follow.
Pl do not start any discussions or express any opinions in this thread.
Those will be deleted!
I entreat all members to vote so that we will have a representation of public opinion of CM Rasikas.

Perhaps another option could have been included viz

" In case you disagree ,whom will you select"
Of course there will be multiplicity of names. But if a particular alternative has the overwhelming support(more than the number of people who have agreed with the present selection) it would definitely be a convincing pointer.
Or is it the intention that the option "other" could be used for that?

The Other is a catch-all for alternatives but the focus is on current decision by MA and hence the poll should focus
Only on the remaining responses.

--I agree (of course, I agree if "I support MA decision...!" )
--I disagree (but of course "I support MA decision ...." )
--No opinion (even if "I support !!!")

I'd like to see something like...

It's a private decision made by a private committee of a private organisation.
Like it or not, that is the way it is and the way it is going to stay.

That's about as close as I can think of to an option I would vote for.

Otherwise, it is a bit like one of those news-site polls where people get asked things like, "Do you agree that the minister should have _____?" As if anybody cares or it makes any difference.
