Arasi: I am leaving for NY tomorrow--reaching NY on Aug 15 A.M.I just confirmed with GJR Krishnan that he played the Jonpuri version.Just plowing thro the LGJ book--interesting but leaves room for this" blabber-mouth"(aka yours truly) to do the fillers.Visited the LGJ house today spent an hour.The pics.mementos,diaries,music notebooks --the "aura" they present about the Great soul was moving!! I could not but help feeling the loss of a Wise Friend who treated me as his younger brother--so much to write about a 4 decade association and how lucky we the seniors in the forum are that we were born into this phase of CM Music --lore-rich and awe-inspiring!!

Dear Sri MKR,

I do not know you personally,but i am a regular reader of your postings.I have purchased and read the Lalgudi moments as given in the book.
However,I am waiting to read your experiences about LGJ yet to be shared in the forum.
I have been an ardent admirer and fan of Lalgudi Sir for over 5 decades,but have no intimate contact.I did however talk to Sri LGJ after concerts in Bangalore.
