Vidwan Ashwin Anand is a student of Sangeetha Kalanidhi Vid. R Vedavalli and Sangeetha Kalarathna Prof. H.V. Krishnamurthy. Ashwin, an A grade artist of AIR, has been giving concerts in all leading sabhas in Chennai and Bangalore. He has won awards from Krishna Gana Sabha, Madras Music Academy and also was awarded the Ananya Yuva Puraskar for 2012.

I like his playing very much, and hope to be there. Last time, I thought I could detect Smt RV's influence in his playing, possibly the first time I have noticed the influence of a vocalist on an instrumentalist. I'll be testing myself on this, but will enjoy anyway.

Indeed. If you listen to his Ninnu Sevanchina - it is like hearing Vid. Vedavalli singing on the veena. IMO - she has set the gold standard for YK.
