I request for posting of the Lyrics of the song " Guru Malaradi ThunayE engal " This tamil devotional song has been sung so well, with rich bhava and devotion, by Sri. Sriram Parthasarathy, the video of which can be wachedin Youtube. This song is from Swami Haridas's tamil compositions an set to tuned by Sriram himself in Rag BaagyaSri (I think rag ' BhagEsri ' and raga ' bAgyashri ' are one and the same)

I think the composer is the same Guruji HH Haridas Giri Maharaj. However please confirm.

dharuma neriyinil - in the path of Dharma
thavarAthu - without fail

Thanks to all for their respective contributions to correct the lyrics and also for the menaing. I feel the word "oru manaduDan" appears to be more appropriate instead of "oru manaduDal". Suggestions welcome

That is exactly how Rajani has translated it.

Rajani - I can't for the life of me understand what the last phrase (vaNangum gurunAtahn solliDum pAdam) refers to! I agree with you, that it seems to be an abrupt departure from he guru's feet to that of God's, unless the guru is pointing to/talking about his own feet (a la naTarAja, perhaps?)

The last line of the song , may be, referring to the lotus feet of the Lord/God that the Gurunathar, adorned by us, tells us to worship. The word vanagum gurunathan here refers to the Gurunathar whom we respect/salute and 'solliDum pAdam' refers to the Lotus Feet of God as told by the Gurunathar.
