Din is Noise --- is a polyphonic, multiple-drone microtonal synthesiser. Or, err ...something like that!
Don't expect a user interface that looks anything like keyboard, knobs or patch panel: this is something very different. Learning it is about as difficult as seeing vi for the first time (for those that know what I mean by that) but one can soon get into modes where strange and amazing noises can be made with keyboard and mouse, like only having to learn i and then start writing strange and amazing things in vi. It is addictive: it kept me up until 4.00am last night! You can draw pictures and listen to the sound they make. You can edit the actual waveform (which might make more sense to people who understand audio waveforms) and more, much more. I don't even know what a Bezier curve is --- but I'm still having fun, and I've only played with it for one night.
I can imagine people like Arun and VK getting actual music out of this thing

And, it was made by an Indian.
