I am reminded of what Kissinger said in an interview. When he was active in (re)arranging the world order to the administration's liking, Indira Gandhi visited the white house. Kissinger was always annoyed that India is not completely on the side of America but have this supposedly neutral stand but skewed slightly to the Soviet. He talked to her for 5 minutes preaching to her and sometimes in animated terms. IG just sat there emotionless and not responding to anything. He then tried to rephrase, thinking may be he was not clear. Again, silence from IG. That just drove Kissinger nuts. But that tactic, whether intended or not, worked since he gave up on that line and moved on to other topics! Not being a big fan Kissinger, I liked it very much.
