About the artiste:
Vidushi Bagyalakshmi Chandrasekharan is a disciple of Sri. Mudikondan Narayanaswamy Ayyar and is known for her chaste and soothing rendition, with her gayaki’s style of playing the Veena. Her virtuosity and skill in playing swaraprastharas with clarity and precision have earned her several accolades. She is a senior A Grade artiste at All India Radio and a panelled artiste of ICCR, Govt. of India, and has performed at several venues in India and abroad, including many performances with Hindustani, as well as Western Classical musicians. Her interviews and performances have also featured in national and international media. She has received awards from many institutions, including AIR, Music Academy and the Bangalore Gayana Samaja.

As we post this, "bliss" is one of the first words that comes to mind when we recall this concert. An absolutely fabulous performance by Vidushi Bagyalakshmi Chandrasekharan. Dwijavanthi was simply divine, and the RTP outstanding.
