A very satisfying concert for about 2:30 hours where everything gelled well. I think of the current crop of musicians, he totally owns Kirvani. What a Kirvani it was. In sahAna and in general upper sthaayi, his voice wasn't that cooperative and that was the only let down. Wish he had the luck to have a great voice now as well; sometimes I think he will wish to sing to his voice - sonna padi kElu, makkar pannAdhe.

During the nereval for vacaspati - NSG did a briga oriented nereval and Narmadha did a fantastic riposte to all that; overall for other volleys and returns too. What a asura sAdakam she must have been doing I only can guess - there was no screeches/stop/start noises when she did all that micro stop and go nereval. It was all sunAdham as if she had a fine tuned stepper motor instead of muscle and bones bowing hand.

And for one, I was very happy to have not been fed an overdose of T as is his wont.

It is interesting that as NSG sir was singing Muruganin maru peyar in Tambaram, his daughter was singing it in Banasankari.

My guess is that he had taught it recently to her, and they both carried it to their respective concerts automatically

The mudra that Sri TNS uses pays respect to his guru (Sri Sankara Sivan) and grand-guru (Sri HKMB) (just like Sri MDR, whose mudra was varada-dAsa, or Sri KI whose mudra is kavi kunjara-dAsa) - so, he uses 'harikESa-dAsa' (the suffix distinguishes it from the mudra of Sr HKMB) and 'sankara-dAsa'.
IIRC, Smt. MLV's version of candracUDa is in rAgamAlikA
