delectable music for about 2:15 hours. each raga elaboration was top notch. open throated (closed eyes mostly) singing and no mumbling!

Liked the song list , pallavi line is great and a nice numbers that showcases her emote before and after it . Since it is recorded for charsur music , nisha has done her homework - keep it up nisha .
This year she is also the winner of Isai PerOli award from karthik fine arts.kudos

one very positive thing I observed is when she starts alapanai or just a sketch/humming, she hits the raga right away with no hesitancy or doubt. very good IMO. She could also learn to slow down a little bit.

Definitely! Starts to feel as if it is all about execution, flawless as it may be.sankark wrote:She could also learn to slow down a little bit.

sureshvv i agree completely with you.
i started my season rounds from a couple of days ago....was there for this concert too.
the thing with me is - personally, i like musicians who sing with gay abandon...with a certain freedom taking risks...and in the process surprise me and maybe even themselves.
nisha sang well - no two thoughts about it - maybe too 'pukka' for my liking
??
with due apologies.

Was staple of Ramnad Krishnan. I have not heard a better rendition!vs_manjunath wrote:The Kannada rAga song of Thyagaraj is quite rare i think.
