Such clever incorporation of raaga mudra. 'kApi' has become 'kApI' but the split at 'rAdhikA pItAmbaradhara' is really well done.

After singing kacheris, Vijay Siva must probably start composing verses as in dattapadi.

I too agree. Vijay Siva has a penchant for such pallavis. Even if the first line alone were used, 'nAyikA pItAmbaradhara' gives the raga. Reminds me of his 2011 MA pallavi in Kannada (language) the included the words bega and daya to give Begada!
His AnandhaBhairavi yesterday was very creamy smoooooooth! One artist who never disappoints.
The Madhura Kavi pasuram was extra ordinary with apt word splits!

His neraval at 'komala mrdhu bashini' for the Todi kriti brought up a question in me. Shouldnt it be komaLa (delicate) instead of komala which is of different meaning? (nitpicking, I know!)

Does telugu/sanskrit have that L vs l distinction? Yes, at times it came across as kOmala instead of kOmaLa

kOmala is correct. L Is a variant distortion in some languages.

Thanks, SankarK and Rsachi. A part of me still thinks it should be the heavier La instead of la. lack of distinct sounding letters shouldn't preclude distinct sounding words. I also agree that vaLLI in Tamil is taken as valli in Samskrit. Confused, I am.

Not to distract from Vijay Siva's sumptuous fare...

In telugu and sanskrit, it is the softer la; it should be kOmala and not the heavier La.
