Hindolam(manasulOni) now an expansive Kambhoji alapanai followed by srI subrahmanyAya

Charumathi Raghuraman violin, K Arunprakash mridangam, N Guruprasad ghatan

Hindolam melkala swarams were terrific. Nereval for kalyani @ sempoRkazhaladi selvA baladEvA was astounding.

ns@vAsavAdi, tani. KAP & Guruprasad's accompaniment for Pallavi and nereval was just apt and great.

wrapped with desh (brndavana lola), sindhubhairavi (andrivvulagam) and surati (slokam followed by gItArthamu).

All in all a very good start to 2014.

Sorry I missed the concert because of a "pressing"engagement--namely the "Free" rasika-friendly MA's Breakfast !! Seriously though I heard him in the MA and was very much impressed--infact I swore that he would get the best sub-junior vocalist although I ack Subiksha Rangarajan deserved it equally!!
I am sure we will hear more about this young artiste--in fact one "wag" in the MA canteen was predicting he would emerge as the Sanjay of the second decade!!

It sure was recorded - I saw a big honking video recorder in the hall. So it might come out as a CD/DVD sometime soon.
