Ranjani Fine Arts' Vaggeyakara Utsava 2014 on Jan 11

Ranjani Fine Arts warmly invites you to "Vaggeyakara Utsava 2014" - a special community event where we will pay tribute to all composers through the ages. Students from 22 music schools will participate in the event, and each school will render one composition of a different vaggeyakara. The event be inaugurated by Sangeetha Kalaratna Prof. Mysore V.Subramanya, and will conclude with the group rendering of Purandaradasa’s Pillari Geethams and Tyagaraja’s Pancharatna Kritis.
All are welcome.

Programme:
3.00 PM : Inauguration
3.15 PM : Rendering of various vaggeyakara compositions by music schools
6.30 PM : Pillari Geethams and Pancharatna Kritis

Donor passes for "Samyoga", Ranjani Fine Arts' 2nd Annual Festival on Feb 8,9,15,16 featuring Vidwans Malladi Brothers, Dr. Sudha Ragunathan, Dr. Ashwini Bhide Deshpande and Pt. Kushal Das will also be available during during the event.
