Good concert. Excellent accompanyists. Sankarabharanam was done well. All heavy songs. There was also a tamil song of SS which was the second or third item.

Almost all SS songs are grand ones. I love them and that is the reason for my going to the concert. But almost all of them are to be sung at a leisurely pace, viLamba kaalam, in an expansive mood. You will get the meditative feel with all these songs. It is very true with lalitha, Saveri and Maanji. Alas, the sisters rushed them at Shatabdi speed. After Lalitha alapanai (which was actually rendered well without any confusion with Vasantha- only the speed was the problem), TSK gave a leisurely reply - a hint to the young vocalists?

Special mention should be made about the thani by the three specialists in their best spirits. Very different structure from the normal standard. They enjoyed each other's rhythm and the audience enjoyed it too.

Attended a couple of concerts of them recently and their music is full of classicism and neat and straight.
