I attended several nagaswaram concerts at the Pongal Nagaswara Vizha of Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, at the Brahma Gana Sabha and at Mutthamizh Peravai.
A nagaswaram player played raga Hemavathi at Sri Krishna Gana Sabha elaborately and then played a krithi totally unknown to me. When asked what the krithi was, he replied that it was "Manju Nigar" by Sri Thyagaraja.
A couple of weeks later the same krithi was played by a different nagaswaram player at the Mutthamizh Peravai and a nagaswaram vidwan in the audience said that it was "Manju Nigar" by Sri Thyagaraja.
Does such a krithi by Sri Thyagaraja exist? T K Govinda Rao's book does not list this krithi.
Has Sri Thyagaraja composed in Hemavathi at all? Or, is this a composition by some other composer?
Thanks for any and all answers.

And that song is a kavadi chindu, a folk tune.Lakshman wrote:manju nigar is by Annamalai Reddiar.
Two different nagaswaram artists played Hemavathi and identified the song as Manju Nigar by Sri Thyagaraja.
Thus the mystery persists.
PS. I should ask one of my grandkids to upload the song; I am totally at a loss when it comes to computers.
