The Fine Arts 3 day Carnataka Sangeetha vIzha 2014 was started in an explosive manner by AR.

The varnam and gana sudha were sedate.

Then came the out of the world alaapanai for Varali and the sheshachala.The neraval and swaras were simply outstanding .

Abhheri aalaap had interesting pidis and Nagumomu was sung in a slow style.

Purvikalyani aalap was grand with a brilliant tanam and pallavi

Appalam ittu was new to Mumbai and the swarajati was simply AR wonder.

BUGS was following AR beautifully and excelled in varali and RTP.

Anantha and Shree sunder were perfect in the thani .
Infact AK AR Bugs had a wonderful coordination and did a great job.

A 3.15 hour concert ,with a bit of planning AR would have been able to sing more tukkadas.

A beautiful start to a 3 day series with Dr Sowmya and Sanjay Subrahmanian to follow on 15 and 16.

The Fine Arts Society I must say has been raising its bars each year and doing a wonderfuljob.The managing committee has to be commended for the same.

I am assuming you meant swarajathi -bhairavi- SS.

I think what you describe as swarajati is AR's own LGJ tribute composition - that he sang also at JayaTV utsav?

gAna-sudhA-rasamE paramananda-dayakamau manasA is a composition of Balamurali Krishna in RAgavardhini - the 34th Melakarta.

Can we call that as only swarajathi or just a composition only in swaras. Any way it has to be the LGJ sindhubhairavi, It cannot be bhairavi swarajathi of SS

It is not a swarajathi really I think, it is a swara composition, with grahabheda etc.

It was in Sindhu bhairavi Lalgudi composition as announced by AR himself before singing. It was swarajati as confirmed by Anantha after the concert.
