Nice concert and as always Sowmya displayed her vidwat through the many new sangatis she presented for many songs especially Harikamboji and Saveri.
Nice to hear rarely performed Sama alapana also. No one sings Sama alapana these days.
But seems like she has some trouble in reaching the higher octaves, it does not come effortlessly and sometimes even accurately.

But anyways the concert was good and Sowmya is always a favorite.

Many many thanks to the team for broadcasting this one on youtube and gracious of Sowmya and team also for allowing it without any commercial interests. Really helpful for those who can't make it to the concert.

The Sama alapana and the Saveri piece were outstanding, not to mention the lively mridangam of Shri Narayanan.
