GOOD LUCK TO AISHU. SHE IS FOR A ROLE MODEL FOR TODAY'S LEADING ARTISTS IN CARNATIC ARTISTS NOT ONLY IN TERMS OF PURE PERFECTION OF HER PLAYING IN MOST ASPECTS BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY IS FOLLOWING THE TRADITION OF M.S.S. & M.M.I. WHO DONATED MOST OF THEIR EARNINGS TO DESERVING CAUSES & PROMOTING GREAT CAUSES. IF MMI had not sung concerts to help MANIKODI WRITERS like K.P. R.& MSHELPED SO MANY CAUSES MODERN TAMILWRITING WOULD NOT BE WHERE IT IS TODAY; IN THE CASE OF M.S. WORDS CANNOT ADEQUATELY DESCRIBE HER CONTRIBUTIONS IN THIS AREA.
IT IS EVEN MORE HEART WARMING THAT AISHU WAS BORN & LIVES IN USA & A BRILLIANT STUDENT TO BOOT. GOOD LUCK TO HER. VKV

Aishu,
I agree with every word that VKV says. You are a role model for the children in North America and elsewhere. They all may not be prodigies like you, but can aspire to be a musician like you by emulating your diligence and hard work. Your energy flows into your music and also
your studies.
We are cheering for you from the sidelines all the way...

Mahavishnu,
Looking forward to your review. Hope Appu and friends and many other rasikAs go to hear Aishu and help a good cause as well.

It is heartening to see musicians taking up charitable causes. In this context I would like to share some experience of mine. Many years ago when Rohan and I were in Chennai during the music season, we decided to arrange a program for the residents of The Banyan, a home for destitute women started by two sisters. I contacted them and they were very excited since the music season only hovers around the sabhas. Luckily we had Prasant Radhakrishnan, a saxophone virtuoso who lives in the Bay area available. He readily agreed and they two gave 90 minute evening concert. Prasant is a magician with his instrument and of course mridangam can make any one attentive. Half way through the concert some audience started dancing, some crying and some keeping thalam very correctly. Though destitute, some of them had training in CM. At the end of the concert we sponsored a dinner for all the residents and they were humbled when we joined them for the dinner saying"Oh you from America are eating with us!". The Banyan directors were adamant that no press be invited and we obliged them. The Hindu did bring up a story later on. Few years later, when Rohan and I visited the then Indian President Dr Abdul Kalam in the Rashtrapathy Bhavan, he was moved to hear that Rohan and Prasant gave a concert for the Residents of The Banyan. That is when he said"Rohan you are a true Cultural Ambassador".
Again back in Kalamazoo, the Juvenile Detention Center (Read prison for young people) asked Rohan if he can give performance to instill a level of focus on them. We were apprehensive obviously, given the kind of "sabha" where he will perform!. But Rohan agreed and gave 30 minute solo which the inmates listened to in rapt attention and some said" when we are released we want to learn mridangam".
In sum, I applaud the North American musical talents who use their god given skills towards humanity even if their ultimate goal in life is not to be a musician but a doctor, engineer, lawyer or what ever.

Excellent choice of charity. The MSF chief, an Indian, gave an insightful talk in Singapore two years ago in which he outlined their massive public health efforts, the initiatives they undertake (they have whole, inflatable hospitals!), and he was very forthright about the worsening burden of chronic disease like diabetes which is a great challenge to an organisation that only offers people care for a period of time, leaving people without access to the long-term medical following and treatment they need for such disease. He said even in the poor countries in Africa, MSF can deal with the outbreaks of cholera but cannot deal with hypertension and diabetes, which are just as prevalent there. I did not realise they have a great research program, but they do, often attempting to use previously approved drugs for new purposes (he gave a good example of using a drug no longer in production but with a lot left over that they found incidentally treats something else very effectively - I'm blanking on the details).

Best wishes to Aishu and Sanskriti for a successful program!

wholesale sexy clothes

Post by labixiaoxin »

For most sexy clothes dealers and shopkeepers, there are too many choices among online suppliers and manufacturers. But which is the professional core supplier? Dear-Lover specialized in manufacture and wholesale sexy clothes, lingerie from 2007 and has annual turnover of one hundred million. Believe in top brand and its value.
