The annual celebrations at RMV Sangeeta Sabha concluded with a sparkling performance by the sisters.
It was befitting to mark the 250th concert being held at RMV sabha.
The hall was full by 5.30pm , and by the time varna concluded, there were people occupying the corridors, and squatting below the stage area..
The sisters managed to hold the audience for nearly 3 hrs, many who didnt mind standing and listening for the entire duration.
Purandaradasa's composition in kharaharapriya sung with great bhava, and nerval being chosen aptly at the lines "Nararolage Paamaranu naanu ihaparake Saadhana ariye Hariye" . :ymapplause: Fabulous elaboration of the raagas Rishabapriya and Todi. The grandeur and brilliance of todi was brought out with finesse by Haripriya followed by a weighty Daachuko.. which would linger on in the minds of the audience for long...
Ugabhoga in anandabharavi, hamsanandi, revati was handled beautifully by the sisters in turns bringing the essence of each raaga.
The entire concert was well supported by M.A Krishnaswamy, Patri Satish and Purushottam..
