I was thinking of a line in this song "tAmadam ilAAmal tAdiyuDane cendREn", ravi what is this line tAdiyuDane ,appears too colloqial (is tAdi the beard).

Regarding 'tAdi' - it is the Tamil word 'தாதி' and not 'தாடி' - It means friend - lady friend

Arasi has also stated
thAdi means thOZhi, an aide. The same as: SEdi ellAm varaindu 'SEDi'yiDam koDuthEn in the other verse.

Just saw this and a question: have heard the śuddha dhanyāśi caraṇa line rendered, "cēḍiyannaṁ varindu cēḍiyiḍaṁ koḍuttēn" - is this correct? Would love to read a line-by-line translation.
