Thanks, Lakshman-ji. I wish I could have been there for this. So many Lalgudi school classics!
Yes it is a thiruppugazh "vEdha veRpilE punaththil mEvi niRkum abirAma" tuned by LGJ in bhimplas. You can find a vocal version in the commercial release by charsur http://www.charsur.com/index.php/spirit ... 17244.htmlvEda vErpilE? - bhImpalAs - Arunagirinathar

Mahavishnu
I atleast think that you not being at toronto is a big loss to you. Nice to hear a grand concert that too to hear the legendary TS playing for so long must have been a delight. Kudos to Lalgudi siblings on continuing the legacy of their legendary father. I am not aware of the mandari varnam of LGJ till this review

You young thing! (my guess, anyway--hey, I'm much older!)
Sorry for that
Not time warp but time of life warp.
As always, I relished Ramesh's review, but had forgotten at that moment that he was there at the concert.
I am glad though that he is now living in a place where there are concerts galore, and he will oblige us by writing more reviews here!

How I wish I could be in two places at once, especially for concerts like this! Till such star trek times, I will have to live vicariously through this forum
And yes, Rajesh. Toronto does a very good job with their scheduling. Most artistes give close to 4 hour performances there.
