I was thrilled to see "nimma Bhagya doDDado" sung in bEgaDe!!
I grew up listening to this song in bEgaDe from my Father Veena Raja Rao and his students. Until now, I have not heard this song in bEgaDe from anyone outside of his school.
In recent years, I have heard this song by SuryaPrakash in aTHaNa and Sudha Raghunathan in kAmavardhini - both beautiful versions!

Yes, Sreeni, I hadn't heard this Begada (bEgaDe) version. On listening, it seems to be the ideal raga for the words and mood! So maybe it was tuned and passed on from your father.
