The young man is a winner of the Hindu MS Subbulakshmi award in 2013 and belongs to KVN shishya parampara.

Aswath Narayan ,nephew and desciple of sri.KVN enlightened the hamsadhwani audience on 1st april KVN Day .it was an excellent concert dedicated to his guru.
He presented some of the favourite items ofsri.KVN. the way he sang sumasayaka,sripatheandsagara sayanavibho reminded us of sri.KVN.
The confidence,stage presence and his interaction with the accompaniments were all very good.Dr.Narmada on the violin and sri.Sankaranarayanan on mrudangam were very supportive.from the first ata tala varnam till the last tillana there was never a dull moment.
the items were sarasijanabha kambodhi atatala varnam
paripalayamam reetigaulai with k.swaram
seshachalanayakam varali ragam niraval and swaram
sumasayaka swatitirunals pada varnam in kapi
sripathe tyagarajas nagaswarali kriti with ragam and swaram
pakkala nilapadi karaharapriya ragam niraval and swaram
tani
sagara sayana MDR s beutiful bhagesree kriti
virutham in behag and oruthimaganaipirandu
tillana poornachandrika
all these in two and a half hours and it was a real tribute to sri.KVN
His raga alapanas niraval remind us of his guru in many places.kalpana swarams were so nice, no kanakkuetc.
on the whole avery pleasing well planned concert.
