In the initial years of euphoria over data base capabilities of computers , there was a lesser known experiment ( the more famous ones being chess masters playing games with computers).
Scientists fed all kinds of massive data and arranged for a gentleman to ask the computer to find the best bride for him .
He had to list out all the qualities he wanted of her.
The computer reportedly whirred and purred and spat out this answer.

Sachi, my initial reaction was also along the lines of Nick's first reaction since poster child can be used both in the positive or negative context. Something is a poster child if it is an archetype whose very identify is synonymous with the associated topic ( in this case CM ), representative of its most favorable or least favorable aspects.

Also, you can't afford to be neutral while characterizing something a poster child
