I checked the lyrics from swathithirunal.in, and in the caraNam, it should be sAnvariyA and not bAnvariyA (although Pt. Bhatt does say bAnvariyA) For one, as the site mentions the caraNam is identical to the caraNam in the maharAjA's dhanaSrI tillAnA, and for another, the maharAjA is more likely to have referred to padmanAbha as the dusky one (sAnvariyA) and not as the mad or crazy one (bAnvariyA)!
