Dear Nick.H.,
It is a telecast popular daily programme of Sri Venkateshwara Bhakthi Channel of Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam Board, supporting the Indian classical music and dance. Please watch and hear and give me your valuable feed back. Mr.S.P.P.Rao due to his employment with SIFAS he was away from Chennai for nearly 8 years. He has come back to Chennai, quitting SIFAS and teaching Vocal music at Besantnagar/Chennai.
He is being accompanied on the violin by Vidwan Madurai Balasubramanian and on the mridangam by Vidwan K.R.Ganesh.
Regards

Re: INVITATION TO LISTEN
SVBC is available on cable TV connections like Hathaway, TataSky, Airtel etc. I do not know the equivalents in Chennai.
It comes in the cluster of "religious" channels.

Re: INVITATION TO LISTEN
While on the subject of Nadaneerajanam, here is another invitation to listen to our Forum member Ahiri, Ranjani Sivakumar performing there on Friday 18 April. She is currently student of Dr Pantula Rama and earlier student of NS Srinivasan (Flute Mali's disciple), Seetha Narayanan and Sethalapati Balasubramaniam (Papanasam Sivan's disciple).

Sri Poorna Pragna Rao sings beautifully. Voice is very much like his father Vidvan SS Rao. He once sang in my house.

Re: INVITATION TO LISTEN
Nick.H.,
Whenever time permits, I watch only TV channels like DDBharathi and SVBC telecasting Indian Classical Music-Hindusthani and Karnatik and rarely Indian classical dances programme. SVBC is always a live telecast. It is the only channel, besides DD channels give opportunity to all the artists with AIR gradings. You will be surprised and also dismayed with the event organizers decision and actions of ignoring and not supporting artists of great merits who have performed in this programme.
SVBC also has few more programme supporting Indian classical music and dance-interviews, thematic presentation, special programme on the composers and competition for the upcoming artists.
