Some days nothing will go wrong. Chelsea will not draw the match ; Lampard wont miss a penalty ; Proteas wont choke,BMTC conductor will return you the change without a reminder. One such day was yesterday :-)

The early signs of this came when ever reliable, dependable Vijay Siva started with Begada. I am a big lover of this raga and have a complaint that many don't sing this often. Bhairavi came quickly with lovely Neraval and Swaras. By the time Sanjeev started returning beautifully. All winners either be forehand or back hand :-). Stage set the next brownie was scored. Rishabapriya. Alapana and return from Sanjeev was too good and my mind quickly went back to one of the archives of MLV concert where she sung this. Time for filler was thinking he will render some durithakaala krithi but he chose to score another brownie with 'Melodic" Dwijawanti. Ecstatic.
Finally Thodi came this season with elaborate alapana. Gliding effortlessly and sangatis flowing like a stream. Sanjeev strolled nicely along with that and I thought he either sing dācukōvalenā, kaddanuvariki or dasarathi but
not often rendered Munnu ravana came and why I have to complain :-) By the time 8 PM Thani started I was bit surprised another an hour plus to go what he will do. Flashed that there will be RTP in place. Man am blessed :-) Paras as filler another brownie in the bag. Surati RTP with Swararaga malika in Hindola,Bahudari?, Sama.

Seasoned Arunprakash gave a very good Thani with growing leaps and bounds Chandrasekar Sharma (who hails from Guru Vikku Vinayakram's school). This is easily Sanjeev's concert as someone was saying in the audience but for Mr Dependable, N Vijay Siva who always delivers quality. I just came back from his Kapaleeswarar concert a month back in Madras.

DKJ's bani was evident in many places and reminded my early academic days in Srirangam where DKJ used to sing regularly in Ramanavami concerts.

This concert brought lot of calmness into me personally after some disastrous, troubled concerts earlier for various factors. I do not have anything to complain in particular and in fact was trying to nail one whole night.
Yeah if at all I want to crib, its about the heat yesterday in Bangalore :-)

So the Super weekend started with a bang and put high stakes on today's Abhishek's concert and though I will be missing TMK on sunday due to travel.

PS : Happy on the personal front as I met Sri Badari and had a good quick chat. Hope he will help in covering the post speech part (thukkadas) in his blog.
