vs_manjunath wrote:S Aishwarya, Great Grand Daughter of Smt M.S.Subbulakshmi gave a neat two hours concert.
List of songs:
1. om namah pranavaarthaaya - Dhyana Slokam ( MS amma always used to start the concert with this slokam in Kalyani )
2. Namo namo raghukula naayaka(Annamacharya)- Nattai ( short swarams at "Ahalya Shaapa Vimochana" )
3. Brief Nalinakanthi Alapana followed by Manavyala.
4. Shanmukhapriya(r,n,s)- Marivere dikkevarayya , Nereval at" Sannuthanga Sri" followed by Kanakku Swarams were very enjoyable.
5. Thaaye thripura sundari- Shudda Saveri (with Chittaswarams)
6. The slow paced 'Devi brova samayamide " in Chintamani was quite enjoyable.
7. Saveri was the major item selected for the concert. After a detailed Raga elaboration , the majestc Dikshitar's krithi " Sri Raja Gopala " was rendered bringing out the emotions of this song.
Nereval at Dheeragra ganya was followed by nice round of imaginative swarams. A Crisp thani followed.
Mridangam by Sri Cheluvaraju was the other attraction.
8. Nithyanandakari- Annapoorna Stotram foll by Daasana maadiko enna in Naadanamakriya.
Req. Cienu to append the list with other rendered items.
A totally enjoyable evening concert by this young artiste( 18 years old) , the torch bearer of MS Amma's music.

A quick question is sree rama seva mandali and bangalore gayana samajam two sabhas that hold concerts in the same Fort high school grounds.
Rajesh – Gayana Samaja and Sree Rama Seva Mandali are 2 different venues (though not far from each other). SRSM hold their programs in the Fort High School Grounds - Chamrajpet. Gayana Samaja is located at Krishna Rajendra Road - Bengaluru.
Ravi – will try and upload a few clips shortly.
